West Midlands Photography Group

Since my recent East Midlands Aeropark shoot with my new Sony A7Sii camera I was itching to get back out and shoot some more. An opportunity arose and off I went to spend the day in Birmingham with the awesome West Midlands Photography ‘Meet Up’ group. The MeetUp sessions are run by Mark Kenwood with support from Kerry Butler.

It was my first visit to the group and I was made to feel very welcome on my arrival. The group meets up and shares fun & learning with their cameras! West Midlands Photography meet on a regular basis for sociable portrait photography sessions with professional models in Birmingham or elsewhere in the West Midlands.

The group is very friendly and encourage learning among all members. No experience is necessary as you are bound to pick up some great hints and tips from the other members, who are keen to share their experience and support those new to the group or to photography itself. The positive atmosphere encourages photographers from novice onwards to feel comfortable about their current level wherever that is, ask questions and receive help getting to their next level. This is practical, hands on and about trying new things you could not do on a formal course.
I was very impressed by the way the models conducted them selves and were not phased by the serious amount of Togs that were in front of them. There were a total of 30 Togs and that is a large number of flashes to go off in front of you at any one time. We did split down into smaller groups and made use of the surrounding areas to get some cool images.  If you would more information about the West Midlands Photography group and would be interested in joining the link can be found HERE
I will be returning to the West Midlands Photography group for sure – a very pleasant photography day experience.
