What should we prepare before a video shoot?

A good shoot starts with a clear purpose. Before filming, it helps to agree what the finished video needs to achieve, who the audience is and where the content will be used.

Useful preparation includes identifying the key messages, deciding who needs to appear on camera, confirming locations and access, checking any time restrictions, and gathering brand assets or reference material that may be needed during editing.

If interviews are involved, contributors usually benefit from knowing the broad subject areas in advance without trying to memorise a script word for word. For location filming, practical details such as power, noise, parking, permissions and available space can also make a significant difference to the day.

Corporate Motion can help shape these details during pre-production. For more information see Film & Video, or send over your brief.
